Dump 47 Profit Sharing Promise

In a nutshell, I plan to donate 25% of profits each quarter. I’m defining “Profits” as revenue after our operating costs which are currently around $200/month if we opt to use paid advertising. If we don’t, it’s just under $60 a month unless I’m forgetting something.

There are other costs, of course. Fees to my fulfillment partner, fees to the payment processing company, etc. I’m sure I’ll identify these as we go on this journey.

Initially, this will be done on a quarterly basis so from now (March 1, 2025) through June 30, 2025, all sales will go towards our donation to the Trevor Project. Then for Q3 (7/1/25 through 9/30/25) we will donate to Undue Medical Debt then in Q4 we will donate to Veterans Fighting Fascism.

I will, of course, be as transparent as I can. Approximately 10-15 days after the end of the quarter, I will update this section with a breakout of how much was made, what my operating costs were plus any additional expenses, and how much we donated. I will provide either a receipt or a letter confirming the donation, should we receive it, with any personally identifying information redacted.

Note, I am doing this under my personal SSID# so the taxes are all mine. I have zero clue of what the implications on those are and I plan on working this out with my tax advisor as needed. Who knows. If this site takes off, Maybe I can register it as a not-for-profit and have more of the proceeds go to charity.
